AN ORDINANCE VACATING A 14.5 ' PUBLIC ALLEYWAY WITHIN BLOCK
3 , QUAYLES ADDITION SUBDIVISION, RUNNING EAST—WEST FOR 314. 25
FEET FROM WEST TEMPLE TO RICHARDS STREET AT APPROXIMATELY 1720
SOUTH IN SALT LAKE CITY , UTAH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds
after a public hearing, that the City's defeasible fee interest
in the alley described below, which was formally dedicated within
Block 3 of the Quayles Addition Subdivision, is no longer neces-
sary for use as a public alleyway, and that the vacation of said
alley described below will not be adverse to the general public' s
interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . Alley vacation. That 14. 5 ' wide east-west alley
located in Block 3, Quayles Addition Subdivision, running
approximately 314 .25 feet between West Temple Street and Richards
Street at approximately 1720 South, which is the subject of
Petition No. 400-46 of 1983 , more particularly described below, a,

be, and the same hereby is, VACATED, and declared no longer to be Qn

needed or available for use as a public alley.

Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 17 , Block 3,
Quayles Addition, a subdivision of Lots 9, 10 and 11
of Block 6, Five Acre Plat "A" , Big Field Survey, and
running thence East 314. 25 feet, more or less, to the
Northeast corner of Lot 30 in said subdivision; thence
North 14 . 5 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 29;
thence West 314 . 25 feet, more or less, to the South- }
west corner of Lot 18 in said subdivision; thence
South 14. 5 feet to the point of beginning .
RESERVATIONS. Said vacation is expressly SUBJECT TO all
existing rights of ways and easements of all public utilities of
any and every description now located on, in, under or over the
above-described property and also SUBJECT TO the rights of entry
thereon for the purpose of obtaining, altering, replacing, remov-
ing , repairing , or rerouting said utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights of ways of
easements of private third parties.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty ( 30 )
days after the date of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah ,
