Salt Lake City, Utah, pursuant to
Petition No. 400-260 of 1984 )
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY SYSTEM LOCATED BETKEEN
HERBERT AVENUE AND WILLIAMS AVENUE AND 200 EAST AND 300 EAST IN
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, AND REQUIRING CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . That that alley located between Herbert Avenue
and Williams Avenue and 200 East and 300 East in Salt Lake City,
Utah, be, and the same hereby is, VACATED and declared no longer
to be public property for use as a street, avenue, alley or
pedestrian way.
SECTION 2. Said alley is more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at a point in the north line of Herbert
Avenue, said point being 125. 0 feet west of the north-
west corner of Herbert Avenue and 300 East Street, said '
point also being the southwest corner Lot 8, Block 2,
Harvard Placae Subdivision, a subdivision of Block 21 , < ,
Five Acre Plat "A" , Big Field Survey, and running
thence North 221 . 25 feet to the northwest corner Lot 1 ; I
thence West 13. 0 feet to the northeast corner Lot 52 ;
thence South 100. 62 feet; thence S 45° W 7. 07 feet;
thence West 370. 0 feet to the southeast corner Lot 37;
thence South 10. 0 feet to the northeast corner Lot 24;
thence East 370. 0 feet ; thence S 45° E 7.07 feet;
thence South 100. 63 feet to the southeast corner Lot 9;
thence East 13. 0 feet to the point of beginning .
RESERVATIONS. Said vacation is expressly made: SUBJECT TO
all existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities
of any and every description now located on, in, under or over
the confines of the above described real property.
ALSO SUBJECT TO the rights of entry thereon for the purposes
of obtaining , maintaining , altering , replacing , repairing ,
removing or rerouting said utilities and all of them, including
the City' s water and sewer facilities. Said closure is subject
to any existing rights of way or easements of private third
parties.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall become
effective upon publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
9th day of July , 1985.
