No. 51 of 1988
(Rezoning property located on the interior
at approximately 700 South and 5600 West
between 6000 West from Agricultural "A-1" to
Industrial "M1-A"pursuant to Petition No. 400-594-88 )
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.14.020 OF THE SALT LAKE
CITY CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE
DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, in response to the rezoning petition initiated by
Sharon Snow on behalf of Brasher Family Limited, No.
400-594-88, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held
public hearings before its own body and before the Planning
Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen testimony,
filing and demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as
part of its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the
Council has concluded that the proposed change of zoning for the
property located on the interior at approximately 700 South and
5600 West between 6000 West from Agricultural "A-1" to Industrial
"M1-A" is appropriate for the development of the community in
that area;
THEREFORE, The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby
adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of
Title 21.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by
Section 21. 14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the
fixing of boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is
AMENDED to read as follows:
Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts - Use District Map
Adopted. That the following-described parcel of real property in
Salt Lake City, Utah, presently zoned Agricultural "A-1" , located
on the interior at approximately 700 South and 5600 West between
6000 West, is hereby rezoned Industrial "M1-A" and the Use
District Map is amended accordingly:
Beginning 1650 feet N89054113"W, and 360 feet
SO°01117"W from the Northeast corner of Section 11
T1S, R2W, S.L.B.&M. ; thence SO°10117"W, 989.39 feet,
more or less to the north line of the Union Pacific
Railroad property; thence Southwesterly along saidtiF°
railroad property line 340 feet; thence N0001117"Ey.
1037. 10 feet; thence Easterly 330 feet more or less to
the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE AND CONDITIONS. This ordinance
shall become effective on publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
2nd day of August 1988.
