054 of 1983 - Amendment of Section 51-12-2 - Rezoning Property Located on the West Side of 21st East and North of P 83-288 M1 CROFILMED SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 5_ of 1983 (Rezoning Property Located on the West Side of 21st East and North of 13th South ) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965 AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS. WHEREAS, in response to Petition 400-50 of 1983 initiated by Linda Tracy, requesting a change of zoning . The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held a public hearing to consider said petition and the recommendation of the Planning Commission that certain property located on the west side of 21st East and north of 13th South, Salt Lake City, presently zoned Residential "R-2" should be rezoned to a Residential "R-3A" classification. The Council has taken into consideration citizen testimony, and planning and demographic data of the area, and based upon the same, finds that the proposed rezoning is appropriate in order to encourage appropriate development and growth compatible with the best interests of the neighborhood and the development of the City as a whole; and WHEREFORE the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions in Title 51 . NOW, THEREFORE be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1 . That the Use District Map as adopted by Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965 as amended, relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use District, be, and the same hereby is amended as follows : Sec. 51-12.-2. Boundaries of Use Districts. That the following described parcel of residentially zoned land in Salt Lake City, Utah generally located on the west side of 21st East and north of 13th South, currently zoned Residential "R-2" is hereby rezoned to a Residential "R-3A" classification and the Use District Map is amended and changed accordingly. Beginning at a point North 140 .99 feet and North 89* 57120" East 1. 10 feet from the Southeast corner of Lot 1 , Block 27, Five Acre Plat "C" , Big Field Survey, according to the Salt Lake City Engineer's Plats, and running thence North 0* 27 ' East 712.49 feet to the Center line of Emigration Creek ash originally located, thence along said centerline of creek as follows : South 620 West 15.90 feet; thence South 33° West 4. 10 feet; thence South 9* 52 ' West 44. 90 feet; thence South 7* 19' East 78 .20 feet; thence South 1* 15 ' West 14.00 feet; thence South 6015 ' West 67 feet; thence South 24*57 ' West 180 .04 feet; thence South 29*48 ' West 50. 00 feet; thence South 49023 ' West 122.00 feet; thence South 17028 ' West 70 .42 feet; thence South 89* 57120" West 10 . 85 feet; thence South 22* 30 ' West 26 . 83 feet; thence South 20* 28 ' West 65. 51 feet; thence South 22030 ' West 64.95 feet; thence leaving said creek North 89°57' 20" East 299.45 feet to the point of beginning .
