SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 54 of 1988
(Applying the Mixed-Use Transitional Overlay
District (MU-T) to certain property located at
about 1320 South between 700 West and 800
West pursuant to Petition No. 400-518-87)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.14.020 OF THE SALT LAKE
CITY CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE
DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, in response to the rezoning Petition No. 400-518-
87, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held public
hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission,
and has taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and
demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as part of
its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council
has concluded that the proposed inclusion of the property located
at approximately 1320 South between 700 West and 800 West in the
Mixed-Use Transitional Overlay District, "MU-T" , is appropriate
for the development of the community in that area;
THEREFORE, The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby
adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of
Title 21.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . That the Use District Map, as adopted by
Section 21. 14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the
fixing of boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is
AMENDED to read as follows:
Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts - Use District Map
Adopted. That the following-described parcel of real property in
Salt Lake City, Utah, presently zoned Residential "R-4" , located
at approximately 1320 South between 700 West and 800 West is
hereby included within the Mixed-Use Transitional Overlay
District, "MU-T", and the Use District Map is amended
accordingly:
Beginning at a point 231.00 feet West and 70. 65 feet �-
North from the Southeast corner of Section 11,
Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and
Meridian, said point being located on the west /Z�J�
right-of-way line of 700 West Street, running thence
West 733.74 feet along the North boundary line of
the "M-1A" zone to the East right-of-way line of 800
West Street, thence North 167.35 feet along said
right-of-way line, thence East 75.00 feet, thence
North 25.00 feet, thence East 66. 67 feet, thence
South 30.90 feet, thence East 66. 66 feet, thence
North 30.90 feet, thence East 66. 67 feet, thence
South 15.20 feet, thence East 90.00 feet, thence
South 55.90 feet, thence East 54.00 feet, thence
North 41. 10 feet, thence East 57.00 feet, thence
South 37.90 feet, thence East 258 feet to the West
right-of-way line of 700 West Street, thence South
124.45 feet along said right-of-way line to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE AND CONDITIONS. This ordinance
shall become effective upon its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
9th day of August 1988.
