(Amending Chapter18.98,Impact Fees,to temporarily suspend collection of certain impact fees)
WHEREAS,the City is in the process of updating its Impact Fee Facilities Plan("IFFP")to
reconsider the types and amounts of impact fees charged for new development within the City;and
WHEREAS,until the City implements the new IFFP,the City Council finds that it is in the
City's best interest to suspend collection of park,fire,roadway facilities,and police impact fees for
all new development in the City;and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds that adoption of this ordinance reasonably furthers the
health,safety,and general welfare of the citizens of Salt Lake City.
NOW,THEREFORE,be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,Utah:
SECTION 1.Amending Salt Lake City Code 18.98. Section 18.98,Salt Lake City Code is
hereby amended to add Section 18.98.005,which shall read as follows:

18.98.005:SUSPENSION OF COLLECTION: From 9eteba-1736+5-to Aetebcr Y,2016,
no park,fire,roadway facilities,or police impact fees will be collected as a condition of issuance of a
building permit for any new development in the City. In the event of a conflict between this section
and any other provision of City Code 18.98,this section shall prevail.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first
publication.
