(Sexual intercourse for hire and lewd acts)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 32-2-1 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
SEXUAL INTERCOURSE FOR HIRE AND LEWD ACTS FOR HIRE.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 32-2-1 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City , Utah, 1965, as amended , relating to Sexual
intercourse for hire and lewd acts be, and the same hereby is ,
amended as follows :
Chapter 2
OFFENSES INWLVING MORALS
Sections:
32-2-1 . Sexual intercourse and sex acts for hire.
3 2-2-2 . through 3 2-2-1 4.
Sec. 32-2-1. Sexual intercourse and sex acts for hire . (1 )
It shall be unlawful for any person to :
( a) Commit or offer or agree to commit a sex act for hire.
( b) Pay or offer or agree to pay another person to commit a
sex act or an act of sexual intercourse for hire .
( c) Secure or offer another person for the purpose of
committing a sex act or an act of sexual intercourse for hire .
( d) Induce, entice or procure, or attempt to induce, entice
or procure another person, in or near any place frequented by the
public or any public place, to commit a sex act or an act of
sexual intercourse for hire .
( e) Make any meretricious display in or near any public
place , any place frequented by the public , or any place open to
the public view.
( f) Knowingly transport any person to any place for the
purpose of committing a sex act or an act of sexual intercourse
for hire.
( g) Knowingly transport any person to any place for the
purpose of offering or agreeing to pay another person to commit a
sex act or an act of sexual intercourse.
( h) Knowingly receive , or offer or agree to receive any
person into any place or building for the purpose of performing a
sex act , or an act of sexual intercourse for hire or knowingly
permit any person to remain in any place or building for any such
purpose .
( i) Direct or• offer to direct any person to any place or
building for the purpose of committing any sex act or act of
sexual intercourse for hire.
( j) Aid abet, allow , permit or participate in the
commission of any of the acts prohibited in subsections ( a)
through ( i) above.
Any person violating the provisions of any of this section
shall be deemed guilty of a Class B misdemeanor and punished as
allowed by state law.

(2 ) Definitions as used in Section 32-2-1 :
"Sex act" shall include , but not be limited to, any act of
fellatio , cunnil ingus, pederasty or bestiality , or masturbation,
or any act intended to provide sexual gratification or
excitement.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon the date
of its first publication .
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah, this
