(Vacation of an Alley )
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN 500 NORTH AND
OURAY AVENUE AND BETWEEN COLORADO STREET AND 1300 WEST, EXCEPT
THE NORTHERN 55 FEET OF THE ALLEY, IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah finds
after a public hearing that the City' s interest in the alley
described below which was platted within the Oakley Subdivision
is no longer necessary for use as a public way, and that the
vacation of said alley described below will not be adverse to the
general public 's interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . ALLEY VACATION. A portion of an alley located
in the Oakley Subdivision, located between 500 North and Ouray
Avenue and between Colorado Street and 1300 West, running south
from 500 North for approximately 380 feet, which is the subject
of Petition No. 400-37 of 1983, submitted by Kevin Nelson, et
al . , and more particularly described below, be, and the same
hereby is VACATED and declared no longer to be needed or avail-
able for use as a public alley or public way:
Commencing at the northwest corner Lot 27 , Block 4 ,
Oakley Subdivision, a subdivision in the SW 1/4, NW
1/4 , Section 35, T. 1 .N. ; R. 1 .W. Salt Lake Base and
Meridian; and thence running West 17. 3 feet to the
northeast corner of Lot 32; thence South 325 feet to l7 ��
the southeast corner Lot 44; thence East 17. 3 feet to
the southwest corner of Lot 15; thence North 325 feet
to the point of beginning . Contains 0 . 129 acres.
RESERVATIONS. Said vacation is expressly SUBJECT TO all
existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities of
any and every description now located on, in, under or over the
above-described property, and also SUBJECT TO the rights of entry
thereon for the purpose of obtaining, altering, replacing,
removing , repairing or rerouting said utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights of way
or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty ( 30 )
days after the date of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 6th day of September , 1983 .
