062 of 2010 - Amending the Zoning Map to establish the Westmoreland Place Historic District 0 10-1 P 10-14 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 62 of 2010 (Amending the Zoning Map to establish the Westmoreland Place Historic District) An ordinance amending the Zoning Map to establish the Westmoreland Place Historic District pursuant to Petition No. PLNHLC2010-00181. WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Historic Landmark Commission ("Historic Landmark Commission") held a public hearing on May 19, 2010 on an application submitted by the Salt Lake City Council ("City Council") to amend the City's zoning map (Petition No. PLNHLC2010-00181) to apply the H (Historic Preservation Overlay District) to properties located within the Westmoreland Place Subdivision, which subdivision was established by the City in 1913 and is located southeast of the intersection of 1500 East 1300 South; and WHEREAS, at its May 19, 2010 public hearing, the Historic Landmark Commission voted in favor of forwarding a positive recommendation to the Salt Lake City Planning Commissidn ("Planning Commission") and City Council on said application. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 26, 2010 on said application; and WHEREAS, at its May 26, 2010 meeting, the Planning Commission voted in favor of forwarding a positive recommendation to the City Council on said application; and WHEREAS, after a hearing before the City Council, the City Council has determined that the following ordinance is in the best interest of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. Amending the Zoning Map. The Salt Lake City zoning map, as adopted by the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts, shall be and hereby is amended to apply the H (Historic Preservation Overlay District) to all buildings, structures and real property within the boundaries described and depicted on Exhibit "A". The areas described and depicted on Exhibit"A" shall be known as the Westmoreland Place Historic District. The zoning map shall include the following notation: Section 21A.24.010T (Nonresidential Uses Of Landmark Sites In Residential Districts) shall not apply within the Westmoreland Place Historic District. SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication. Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 10th day of August 2010.
