AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 42-6-5. 1 TO THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO
SUBDIVISION PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 6 of Title 42 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended , relating to
subdivisions and platting , be , and the same hereby is, amended by
ADDING the following Section 42-6-5. 1 to read as follows :
Sec . 42-6-5. 1. No public right of action. The provisions
of Section 42-6-4 and Section 42-6-5 above shall not be construed
to provide any private right of action on either tort, contract,
third-party contract or any other basis on behalf of any property
holder in the subdivision as against the City or on the cash
bond , corporate surety bond or letter of credit required under
Section 42-6-5 in the event that the improvements are not
constructed as required .
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication .

8th day of September 1987.
