SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No . 68 of 1987 ( Foothill Village Park Rezoning-- 11B-3" to "R-2 ") AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS. WHEREAS, in response to petitions pertaining to a change in zoning , as initiated by the Bonneville Hills Neighborhood Council in Petition No . 400-348 of 1985, the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah, has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission and has taken into consideration citizen testimony , siting and demographic details of said community and the area' s relationship to the master plan and proposals offered by counterpetition No . 400-370 of 1985, as part of its deliberations. Pursuant to these deliberations , the Council has concluded that the requested change from a Business "B-3" to a Residential "R-2" classification on the Foothill Village site proposed for development as landscaped open space and a park, is appropriate for the development of a project in the community in that area. THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section 51-12-2, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965 , as amended , relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts , be , and the same hereby is AMENDED as follows : Sec . 51-1 2-2 . Boundaries of Use Districts. That the following described parcel of real property in Salt Lake City , Utah, presently located as part of the Curtis School/Foothill Village area fronting 2200 East, presently zoned Business "B-3" is hereby rezoned to a Residential "R-2 " use district classi- fication , and the Use District Map is amended accordingly. Business "B-3 " to Residential "R-211 : Beginning at a point South 89153 '42 ' East 33. 00 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 15, Block 15, FIVE ACRE PLAT " C" , BIG FIELD SURVEY and running thence South 89153 '42" East 119. 00 feet; thence South 0°02152" East 65. 10 feet; thence F North 89153 '42" West 10. 00 feet; thence South ,' 0 °02 '52" East 53. 00 feet ; thence South 89153 '42" f f East 10. 00 feet; thence South 0102 '52" East 169. 00 � feet ; thence North 89153 ' 42" West 119. 00 feet to the East line of 2200 East Street; thence North 0 102 ' 52" West along said East line of 2200 East Street 287. 1 feet to the point of beginning .
