AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 11.04. 140 TO THE SALT LAKE CITY
CODE, 1988, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO FAILURE TO APPEAR IN RESPONSE
TO A CRIMINAL CITATION.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 11 .04. 140 of the Salt Lake City
Code, Salt Lake City, Utah, relating to Failure to appear in
response to a criminal citation, be, and the same hereby is,
added to read as follows:
11 .04. 140 Failure to appear in response to a criminal citation.
Any person who willfully fails to appear before a court
pursuant to a citation issued pursuant to the provisions of
Section 77-7-18, Utah Code Annotated, or pursuant to a criminal
summons or any other order of a court, is guilty of a Class B
misdemeanor, regardless of the disposition of the charge upon
which the person was originally cited.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take
effect upon the date of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
13th day of December 1988.
