SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 80 of 2001
(Authorizing Three Temporary Dormitories Related to a Large-
Scale Special Event of National or International Significance)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3.52.050.D OF THE SALT LAKE CITY
CODE, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THREE BUILDINGS AS TEMPORARY
DORMITORIES RELATED TO A LARGE-SCALE SPECIAL EVENT OF NATIONAL OR
INTERNATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE, PURSUANT TO PETITION NOS. 400-01-62, 400-01-63
AND 400-01-64.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. CONDITIONS. That Sections 3.52.050.D.7 through 9 of the SALT LAKE
CITY CODE, shall be, and the same hereby are, enacted to read as follows:
7. A temporary dormitory at the Salt Lake City Parks Division building located at 1965
West 500 South.
8. A temporary dormitory at the Sorenson Center located at 855 West California Avenue.
9. A temporary dormitory at the Liberty-Wells Center located at 707 South 400 East.
SECTION 2. CONDITIONS. This Ordinance is conditioned upon the following:
A. The dormitories will only be used to house Federal employees.
B. The temporary uses approved by this ordinance shall be valid only until March 31,
2002.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect on the date of its
first publication.
