AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BILL NO. 66 OF 1984 RELATING TO THE
CLOSURE OF DRESDEN PLACE BY: EXTENDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE IN
SECTION 3, AND AMENDING SECTION 2(2 ) TO DELETE REQUIREMENTS
RELATING TO PUBLIC ROAD STATUS.
RECITAL
1. Bill No . 66 of 1984, passed November 6, 1984, provided
for the conditional closure and redesign of Dresden Place as it
runs east and northeasterly from 900 East at approximately 525
South, the relocation of the Salt Lake and Jordan Canal , and the
transfer of City land . Condition 2 of Section 2 of said Bill
contemplated the possibility of public road status , and Section 3
required all conditions subsequent in Section 2 to be satisfied
on or before November 6, 1985.
2. Pursuant to the petitioners' request and favorable staff
review , the City Council finds that it is reasonable to amend
Section 3 to' extend the time limitation to January 21, 1986, and
to amend Section 2 (2 ) to delete the public road status concerns .
3. The City' s agreement to allow the land to be made avail-
able for redevelopment shall in no way signify or be interpreted
to relate to any particular project, design or ownership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SALT
LAKE CITY:
SECTION 1. That Bill No . 66 of 1984, Section 2 (2 ) of

Conditions Subsequent thereof, relating to street improvements
be, and the same hereby is, amended to delete the second and
fourth sentences related to the possibility of retaining the
public street status of Dresden Place upon redesign.
SECTION 2. That the time limitation in Section 3 of said
Bill No. 66 of 1984 in which the ordinance had to be recorded to
avoid expiration shall be extended three (3) months to January
21, 1986.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall becane effective immediately
upon publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
5th day of November, 1985.
