(Revising business regulatory fees for
apartment houses)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20-36-3 REGARDING
REGULATORY FEES FOR AN APARTMENT HOUSE.
WHEREAS , the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
finds, after public hearing, that it is in the public
interest to effect a modification of the business regulatory
license fees to be charged for apartment houses inspected
and/or regulated by Salt Lake City Corporation to more
appropriately reflect the extent of inspection and/or
regulation which the City Council deems necessary and
appropriate for such business; and that amendment of Section
20-36-3 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah
1.965 as amended is appropriate to accomplish these
objectives;
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 20-36-3 regarding regulatory
fees for an apartment house be amended to read as follows :
Sec. 20-36-3 . License fees. The license fee for an
apartment house regulatory business license shall be the sum
of $30 . 00 per year or any part thereof plus $3 . 00 for each
apartment per annum or any portion thereof.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon the
date of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 1Oth day of November 1987.
