AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE
AGENCY 'S JACKSON REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA, SAID ALLEY RUNNING
WEST FROM 700 WEST STREET JUST NORTH OF 500 NORTH STREET, SALT
LAKE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah, finds
after a public hearing, that the City's interest in the alley
described below which was platted within the Agency' s Jackson
Redevelopment project area is no longer necessary for use as a
public way and that the vacation of said alley described below
will not be adverse to the interests of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City , Utah :
SECTION 1 . ALLEY VACATION. An alley located within the
Agency's Jackson Redevelopment project area, running west from
700 West Street just north of 500 North Street, which is the
subject of Petition No . 400-136 of 1983 submitted by the Salt
Lake City Redevelopment Agency, and more particularly described
below be, and the same hereby is VACATED and declared no longer

to be needed or available for use as a public alley or publiccn

Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1 , Block 1 ,
Wilkes Subdivision of Block 86 , Plat "C" , Salt Lake N
City survey , and running thence West 142 . 5 feet more or

less to the Southwest corner of Lot 1 ; thence South
15 .0 feet to the North line of Lot 40 said subdivision; ( Y i jl_
thence East 142. 5 feet more or less to the Northeast
corner of Lot 44 ; thence North 15 .0 feet to the point
of beginning .
RESERVATIONS. Said vacation is expressly made SUBJECT TO
all, existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities
of any and every description now located on, in, under or over
the confines of the above-described property; and ALSO SUBJECT TO
the rights of entry thereon for the purpose of obtaining ,
altering, replacing, removing, repairing or rerouting said
utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights of way
or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 2 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the day of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
