RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF $50,000 FROM THE CAPITAL
PROJECTS CONTINGENCY FUND TO THE PARKS DEPARTMENT FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT
ATHLETIC PARK.
WHEREAS, the Parks Department has requested an appropriation in
the amount of $50,000 to be used to fund improvements at Athletic
Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is supportive of funding this project;
however, the requested expenditure was not included in the Parks
Department' s 1981-82 fiscal year capital improvements budget and said
budget therefore does not contain an appropriation for this purpose;
and
WHEREAS, in fiscal year 1981-82, the Salt Lake City Council
established a continuing non-departmental capital projects contin-
gency fund to finance such improvements; and
WHEREAS, the balance in such fund is available for such projects
subject to City Council authorization and approval ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Salt Lake City Council that
the funding referred to herein for improvements at Athletic Park,
in the amount of $50,000, is hereby approved for transfer from the
City's non-departmental capital projects contingency fund to the Parks
Department's budget.
