RESOLUTION NO. 105 OF 19 82
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION
AND
SALT LAKE COUNTY
WHEREAS, Title 11, Chapter 13, U.C.A., 1953, as amended,
allows public entities to enter into cooperative agreements to
provide joint undertakings and services; and
WHEREAS, the attached agreement has been prepared to
accomplish said purposes;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
1. It does hereby approve the attached agreement generally
described as follows:
An Interlocal Agreement between Salt Lake City and Salt Lake
County providing for reciprocal fire protection and rescue
services within certain portion of the parties' respective juris-
dictions and authorizing the parties' fire chiefs to enter into
memoranda of understanding, establishing the type of response
services and designation of initial action areas.
2. Ted L. Wilson, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, is hereby
authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of Salt Lake City
Corporation and to act in accordance with its terms.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 7th day of December , 1982.
