RESOLUTION NO. 106 OF 1982
(Approving the Transfer of $13,660 from
General Fund Contingency to Municipal Affairs
Program Budget)
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF $13,660 FROM THE
GENERAL FUND CONTINGENCY TO THE MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS PROGRAM BUDGET
TO PARTIALLY FUND PROGRAM AND ADMINISTRATION COSTS OF THE SALT
LAKE COUNTY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake County Council of Governments (COG)
has requested an appropriation in the amount of $13,660 to be
used to partially fund its Fiscal Year 1982-83 program and
administration expenses; and
WHEREAS, this request is necessary to defray some of the
expenses which were previously paid for by Federal funds, which
funds are no longer available to the COG; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is supportive of contributing to
COG to partially fund such program and administration expenses;
however, the requested expenditure was not anticipated by the
City at the time of adoption of its Fiscal Year 1982-83 budget
and said budget, therefore, does not contain an appropriation for
this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council has established a non-
departmental contingency fund to finance unanticipated expendi-
tures for Fiscal Year 1982-83; and
WHEREAS, expenditures from said fund are subject to City
Council authorization and approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah, that funding for the Salt Lake County Council of
Governments in the amount of $13,660 is hereby approved. Said
funds are authorized for transfer from the City ' s non-depart-
mental General Fund contingency to the Municipal Affairs Program
budget to be disbursed to COG as needed; provided, however, that
said funds may be used for no other purpose, without Council
approval .
