110 of 1982 - Amending the Compensation Plan for SLC Employees 0 82-31 RESOLUTION NO. 110 OF 1982 AMENDING THE COMPENSATION PLAN FOR SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, under Bill No. 51 of 1982, the Salt Lake City Council adopted the Compensation Plan for Salt Lake City Corpora- tion Employees, (hereafter "Compensation Plan" ) ; and WHEREAS, under terms of said ordinance, the Compensation Plan may be amended from time to time by resolution of the City Council ; and WHEREAS, the City Council is presently desirous of amending the Compensation Plan; and WHEREAS, notice and hearing have been provided pursuant to Section 10-3-818, Utah Code Annotated, 1953. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, that: 1 . Chapter III, Section E of the Compensation Plan is hereby amended to read as follows : E. Statutory Officers. Except as specified in this section, [*S*] statutory officers of the City shall be paid within the [*followinq*] base salary ranges specified in Appendix "A" , and advanced under approved compensation rules and regula- tions [r] . The following officers shall be compensated within the ranges shown : - [*City*Attorney* $3 , 193-$4 , 243*] [*Fire*Chief* $3, 193-$4,243*1 [*Police*Chief* $3 , 193-$4 ,243*1 [*City*Engineer* $2, 825-$3 ,747*1 City Treasurer $2 ,327-$3 ,222 City Recorder $2,327-$3,222 2. The fifth paragraph of Chapter V, Section C of the Compensation Plan is hereby amended to read as follows : "Notwithstanding the above , [*Executive*Level*One* Employees*] department heads shall be eligible for twenty days vacation on January first of each of the first fourteen years of employment with the City and twenty-five days each January first thereafter; combat fire personnel shall accumulate vacation leave on an annual basis and shall be eligible to use such leave , commencing in the calendar year following accrual ." 3. Appendix "A" of the Compensation Plan is hereby amended to read as set forth in Appendix "A" of this Resolution. 4. These amendments shall take effect on January 1 , 1983 .
