RESOLUTION NO. 111 OF 1982
(Approving the Transfer of $35,230 from the General Fund
Contingency to Various General Fund Departments)
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF $35,230 FROM THE GENERAL
FUND CONTINGENCY TO VARIOUS GENERAL FUND DEPARTMENTS TO PAY THE COST OF
IMPLEMENTING THE EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION PLAN.
WHEREAS, Williams Associates has completed an executive compensation
plan; and
WHEREAS, said plan identifies the appropriate classification and
salary range of 37 executive employees of Salt Lake City Corporation; and
WHEREAS, departmental General Fund budgets require adjustment in
the amounts identified on the attached "Budget Revision Summary" in order
to implement the executive compensation plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is supportive of compensating executive
level City employees pursuant to said plan; however, departmental General
Fund budgets for Fiscal Year 1982-83 do not include funds for executive
salary increases; and
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council included $85,000 in the
General Fund Contingency for executive salary increases pending completion
of an executive compensation plan; and
WHEREAS, expenditures from said fund are subject to City Council
authorization and approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake
City, Utah, that funding for executive salary increases in the amount of
$35,230, in the General Fund, is hereby approved. Said funds are
authorized for transfer from the City's General Fund Contingency to
various City departments in accordance with the attached "Budget Revision
Summary".
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
