131 of 1988 - Intent to Adopt Amended Budget for 14th Year Block Grant Funding 1988-1989 R 88-1 T 88-29 RESOLUTION NO. 131 OF 1988 RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO ADOPT AN AMENDED BUDGET REGARDING 14TH YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING (1988-1989) WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is entitled under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, (42 USC 5301, et seq. ) and 24 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) , Part 570, to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development for the 14th Year CDBG Program (1988-89) in the sum of $3 , 795 , 000; and WHEREAS, additional funds of $300 ,000 from 9th and 10th year CDBG program slippage and $1, 800 ,000 of Section 108 Loan Guarantee funds are proposed to be incorporated in the 14th year budget; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the people of Salt Lake City that the City file an amended budget with HUD for said 14th Year CDBG funds in accordance with 24 CFR 570 . 301; and WHEREAS, the public notices, hearings, and other presub- mission requirements as set forth in 24 CFR 507. 301 are proposed to be accomplished by the City, including but not limited to the following: 1. The announcement in the public meeting this Tuesday, October 18, 1988 of the City' s intent to consider the adoption of an amended 14th Year CDBG budget and the setting of a public hearing for November 1, 1988 to obtain the views of citizens regarding the proposed use of these funds; and 2. The publication in a newspaper of general circulation in Salt Lake County, Utah, of the City' s proposed use of funds.
