RESOLUTION NO. 15 OF 19 82
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION
AND
SANDY CITY
WHEREAS, Title 11 , Chapter 13, U.C.A. , 1953, as amended,
allows public entities to enter into cooperative agreements to
provide joint undertakings and services; and
WHEREAS, the attached agreement has been prepared to
accomplish said purposes;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
1 . It does hereby approve the attached agreement generally
described as follows:
An Interlocal Agreement between Salt Lake City and Sandy
C i ty which provides that the City will provide fire and emergency
medical dispatch services for Sandy City.
2. Ted L. Wilson, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, is hereby
authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of Salt Lake City
Corporation and to act in accordance with its terms .

1,1HEREAS, Sandy City desires to enter into a cooperative
agreement with Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the Interlocal Cooperation
Act in the State of Utah, Sandy City has the authority to enter
into such an agreement with Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed by the City Council that it is to the
benefit of Sandy City to enter into this agreement which pro-
vides that Salt Lake City will perform the dispatch services for
all fire alarms received in Sandy City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
Sandy City, Utah, as follows :
1 . Sandy does hereby endorse and accept the agreement
between Sandy City and Salt Lake City, whereby Salt Lake City
will perform the dispatch services of Sandy City Fire Department,
subject to the terms and conditions of said agreement.
2. Mayor W. Paul Thompson is hereby authorized, empowered
and directed to execute the agreement on behalf of Sandy City
Corporation.
