A regular meeting of the City Council of Salt Lake City ,
Salt Lake County, Utah, was held on Tuesday, January 19 , 1982 ,
at 6 : 00 p.m. at the regular meeting place of said City Council ,
at which meeting there were present and answering roll call the
following members who constituted a quorum:
Sydney Reed Fonnesbeck Chairperson & Councilmember
Palmer DePaulis Councilmember
Ronald J. Whitehead Councilmember
Alice Shearer Councilmember
Ione Davis Councilmember
Grant Mabey Councilmember
Edward Parker Councilmember
Also present :
Ted L. Wilson Mayor
Absent :
After consideration of protests submitted in writing or
presented at the protest hearing for Salt Lake City , Utah Curb
& Gutter Extension No . 38-622 , and after further study and
considerations of the report of the City Engineer,
Councilmember Whitehead introduced the following resolution in
writing, which was read in its entirety and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 16
A RESOLUTION TO CREATE CURB AND GUTTER EXTENSION NO. 38-
622 OF SALT LAKE CITY, SALT LAKE COUNTY, UTAH, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY OFFICIALS TO PROCEED TO ASSESS
PROPERTIES BENEFITED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS SET FORTH IN THE
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CREATE THE DISTRICT.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Salt
Lake County , Utah:
Section 1 . The City Commission, the preceding governing
body of Salt Lake City, has heretofore considered each and
every protest filed and has heard each and every person who
wished to be heard in protest against the creation of the
district or making of any of the improvements therein or on any
other matter pertinent to said district . Pending study of such
protests and related matters , the creation of this district was
deferred.
Section 2. Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah Curb
and Gutter Extension No. 38-622 , is hereby created.
Section 3 . The City Recorder is hereby authorized and
directed to file a copy of the Notice of Intention and this
resolution creating the district as finally approved in the
Salt Lake County Recorder' s office within five days from the
date hereof.
Councilmember Mabey seconded the motion to
adopt the foregoing resolution. The resolution was

thereupon put to a vote and unanimously adopted on the
following recorded vote:

Ronald J. Whitehead
Alice Shearer
Ione Davis
Grant Mabey
Edward Parker
Those voting NAY: None
Thereupon the motion was approved by the Chairperson and
made a matter of record by the City Recorder.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 19th day of January , 1982 .

above, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting

posted (at least 24 hours prior to the meeting time) at the
Council ' s regular meeting place written notice of the regular

delivered to the local news media, at least 24 hours prior to said
