002 of 2022 - Budget Amendment No.5 for Fiscal Year 2021-22SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 2 of 2022 Fifth amendment to the Final Budget of Salt Lake City, including the employment staffing document, for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 In June of 2021, the Salt Lake City Council adopted the final budget of Salt Lake City, Utah, including the employment staffing document, effective for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022, in accordance with the requirements of Section 10-6-118 of the Utah Code. The City’s Budget Director, acting as the City’s Budget Officer, prepared and filed with the City Recorder proposed amendments to said duly adopted budget (the “Proposed Amendments”), including the amendments to the employment staffing document necessary to effectuate the proposed staffing changes for consideration by the City Council and inspection by the public. At the Salt Lake City Council meeting held on January 4, 2022, the City Council approved certain Proposed Amendments while deferring consideration of the remaining Proposed Amendments until a later date. The City Council now desires to adopt the attached Proposed Amendments. All conditions precedent to amend said budget, including the employment staffing document, have been accomplished. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this Ordinance is to amend the final budget of Salt Lake City, including the employment staffing document, as approved, ratified and finalized by Salt Lake City Ordinance No. 32 of 2021. 2 SECTION 2. Adoption of Amendments. The selected Proposed Amendments, including amendments to the employment staffing document necessary to effectuate the staffing changes specifically provided herein, attached hereto and made a part of this Ordinance, shall be and the same hereby are adopted and incorporated into the budget of Salt Lake City, Utah, including the described amendments to the employment staffing document, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, 2022, in accordance with the requirements of Section 10-6-128 of the Utah Code. SECTION 3. Filing of copies of the Budget Amendments. The said Budget Officer is authorized and directed to certify and file a copy of said Proposed Amendments, including amendments to the employment staffing document, in the office of said Budget Officer and in the office of the City Recorder which amendments shall be available for public inspection. SECTION 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect upon adoption. Item I-3 has no dollar impact but rescopes FY22 CIP Funds for Tennis Improvements at the Wasatch Hills Tennis Center, no longer needed, to the Liberty Park Tennis Center. ($400,000 in CIP Fund) Item I-2 authorizes presumptive use of any remaining CARES Act dollars. So if the total is more than $47,000 (estimated amount), then the Council is authorizing use above the $47,000.
