Proposed Resolution - 5/10/2022RESOLUTION NO. OF 2022 Selection of a Salt Lake City Council Representative as a Nonvoting Member of the Utah Inland Port Authority Board WHEREAS, in the 2022 Legislative session, the Utah Legislature amended Utah Code 11- 58-302, and removed Salt Lake City’s voting seats on the Utah Inland Port Authority Board. WHEREAS, in the amendments to Utah Code 11 -58-302, the Utah Legislature authorized the City Council to designate a member of the Salt Lake City Council who represents a district whose boundary includes port authority jurisdictional land, as a nonvoting member of the Utah Inland Port Authority Board. WHEREAS, City Council Districts 1 and 2 include port authority jurisdictional land. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, the following: 1. The City Council hereby selects Council Member ______________ to serve as a nonvoting member of the Utah Inland Port Authority Board. 2. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon passage.
