MOTION 1 – CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING AND ADOPT
I move that the Council adopt an ordinance amending the FY 2020-21 final budget of Salt Lake City
including the employment staffing document as requested by the Administration and Council-added
Items as shown on the motion sheet.
Staff note: Council Members do not need to read the individual items being approved below; they are
listed for reference.
A-1: Fisher Carriage House Exploration Center Construction Overage – ($540,732 – Parks Impact Fees)
A-2: Glendale Water Park Redevelopment Plan – ($225,000 – Parks Impact Fees)
A-3: Trailhead Property Acquisition – ($275,000 – Parks Impact Fees)
A-4: City Innovations Team – ($63,673 – General Fund and $453,399 – IMS Fund and 1 New FTE)
A-5: Police Department Hiring Class – ($ -0- General Fund)
D-1: Airport Interim Financing – ($ -0- Airport Fund; Creation of $300 Million Revenue Budget)
I-1: Housing-related Funding Our Future Applications – ($500,000 from FY21 Community Land Trust
and $297,000 from Landlord Assurance Program) Funding is split as follows:
$325,380 for Service Models for the Most Vulnerable
$271,620 for Incentivized Rent Assistance
$88,000 for Landlord Tenant Mediation (aka Build an Equitable City)
$62,000 for Shared Housing
$50,000 for Mortgage Assistance
I-2: HUD-CV Emergency Solutions Grant for the Temporary Winter Shelter – ($750,000 – ESG-CV
Grant)
MOTION 2 – CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING
I move that the Council close the public hearing and refer the item to a future date for action.
MOTION 3 – CONTINUE PUBLIC HEARING
I move that the Council continue the public hearing to a future date.
MOTION 4 – CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING AND NOT ADOPT
I move that the Council close the public hearing and proceed to the next agenda item.
