R E S O L U T I O N
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF
$25,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND NON-DEPARTMENTAL
CONTINGENCY FUND TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
STREET LIGHTING PROGRAM
TO PROVIDE FOR RESIDENT REQUESTED INDIVIDUAL
STREET LIGHTS NOT PROVIDED FOR BY
SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 1982-83 Street Lighting Budget did not
provide for funding for street lights in response to
valid requests for individual lights; and
WHEREAS, the Transportation Division has received valid requests
for individual street lights; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is supportive of funding the installation
of valid individual street light requests; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after meeting with the Transportation
Division, has determined that $25,000 should be appro-
priated to the street lighting program; and
WHEREAS, in Fiscal Year 1982-83, the Salt Lake City Council estab-
lished a non-departmental general fund contingency fund
to finance such projects; and
WHEREAS, such fund is available for such projects subject to
City Council authorization and approval ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL that
the funding referred to herein for funding valid individual
street light requests, in the amount of $25,000 is hereby
approved for transfer from the City's non-departmental
general fund contingency fund to the Public Works Department
Street Lighting Program's budget.
