1. National Register Nomination for Nettie Gregory Center at Approximately 742 W South Temple - The State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) has received a request to add the Nettie Gregory Center located at the above-listed address, to the National Register of Historic Places. The National Register Review Committee will consider this nomination at their meeting on January 16, 2025. The SHPO is requesting review and input from Salt Lake City
as the Certified Local Government in this matter. The property is not located within a Local Historic District or listed as a Local Landmark Site and would not be subject to any local preservation standards found in the H (Historic Preservation Overlay) zoning district. The
property is located within Council District 2, represented by Alejandro Puy. (Staff contact: Amanda Roman at 801-535-7660 or amanda.roman@slc.gov) Action: A recommendation to approve was forwarded to the State Historic Preservation Office. 2. Major Alterations for Pioneer Park Phase 1 at Approximately 350 S 300 W - Salt Lake City’s Parks & Public Lands Department has requested approval for modifications to Pioneer Park as part of Phase 1 improvements to the City Park. Pioneer Park is a National and Local Landmark site, located at approximately 350 South 300 West. This type of project requires two Major Alteration reviews. a. Major Alteration: Major Alteration request is required for the approval of a new pavilion, a dog park shade structure, landscape and hardscape alterations, fencing, a playground, water features, and supplementary structures. Case number: PLNHLC2024-00789 b. Major Alteration: Major Alteration request is required for the approval of the ranger
building. Case number: PLNHLC2024-00790
