Video recording of the meeting is available at www.youtube.com/slclivemeetings. ATTENDANCE The meeting was called to order by the Administrative Hearing Officer at approximately 5:00 PM. AGENDA A. Conditional Use Request for a Monopole at Approximately 537 W North Temple – SBA Towers X, LLC, is requesting Conditional Use approval to install an approximately 64-foot tall monopole with wireless antennas and associated equipment at the above-listed address. Monopoles over 60 feet in height, with antennas and antenna support structures greater than 2 feet wide, as proposed by the applicant, are allowed through the Conditional Use process in the associated zone. The monopole will be installed on a vacant lot near the railroad line and will be surrounded by a fence. The property is located in the Gateway Mixed-Use (G-MU) zoning district. The subject property is located in Council District 3, represented by Chris Wharton. Hearing Officer Present Daniel Echeverria City Staff in Attendance Associate Planner Jason Berntson, Office Facilitator Aubrey Clark SALT LAKE CITY | ADMINISTRATIVE HEARING 2 Associate Planner Jason Berntson outlined the petition that is detailed in the staff report. He stated that Staff recommends approval of the request. Applicant representative Harold Timmons did not have further information to add to the proposal. He did state that they had been trying to get a tower in the area since 2023 but ran into some problems with the parcel tax identification. The hearing officer opened the public hearing. Public Hearing Seeing that no one wished to speak, the hearing officer closed the public hearing. Motion Based on the information and discussion, I am approving the Conditional Use application as recommended by staff. The meeting adjourned at approximately 5:07 PM.
